The way we perceive ourselves and our world affects our quality of life.

Are you someone that always expects things to go wrong or looks forward to each new day?

When I was younger I always expected things to go wrong and most certainly they did.

Sure enough, people and situations popped up that reinforced my negative mind set.

The negative thoughts and emotions eventually got to me physically and many illnesses manifested.

When I was diagnosed with a deadly form of cancer I did a lot of research but most of all, soul searching and was very surprised to learn how much our thoughts and emotions affect our bodies.

I call this "issues in our tissues".

I've read books like Louise L. Hay's "You Can Heal Your Life" which taught me that stored anger in the body causes cancer and it's placement has a big clue to what issues are literally eating you up.

I've also read Karol K. Truman's book "Feelings Buried Alive Never Die" which expands a bit further about the mind-body-spirit connection.

The Cosmic Boomering: What you think, say and do comes right back to you.

I'll give you my real - life example of this:

One day I was dreading my workday before I even entered the building I was working at.

I said to myself:

" I am so not looking forward to this day- I know what is going to happen... I am going to be hassled today, my cash drawer will probably be short because of that faulty program in the computerized cash register and i'll probably get written up for something dumb!"

Sure enough, later that day all of these things DID HAPPEN.

Did I have a crystal ball that told me this series of events would happen?

Nope, it was just me projecting out negative thoughts and attracting this to myself.

Not an easy thing to admit to, but i'm glad I addressed the problem and have had very few incidents like I used to.

Changing the way I perceived things changed and even saved my life...literally.

I am a better person than I used to be and have attracted a lot of great people and things into my life that I would have thought unimaginable years ago.

It was also through this process I was able to find the truth behind all the negative thoughts, emotions and feelings.

Society through mainstream media unfortunately makes us expect the worst in ourselves, other people and life in general.

Sure, negative things will happen, this is life but the key is NOT to EXPECT things to go wrong

because if we have that expectation things will always go wrong they will.

A few tricks to get rid of negative thoughts, feelings and emotions:

Anytime you think, feel or emote something negative, simply say out loud or in your mind

"thanks for sharing" that actually gets rid of the negativity.

Also, if you feel comfortable doing this say out loud or in your mind

"Cancel, cancel delete"

If you get negative, stubborn, repetitive thoughts that don't seem to stop, you can tap your forehead gently and visualize either a video or cassette tape coming out.

This should do the trick, if not just repeat over and over until the thought is gone.

This helped me and I know this will help you, too.

It takes practice and time but keep on keepin' on and you will master your thoughts, emotions and feelings.

Once you master these you will attract better people, situations and things into your life.

It all begins with what lenses we choose, the perceptions we project out onto others and this world.

We what you think, say and do comes right back to you, it's the cosmic boomerang.

Master your thoughts and you will master your life.
